The Chiechama Students’ Union (CSU) has condemned the physical assault of a 10-year-old boy, a bona fide member of the Chiechama Students’ Union allegedly by Mhasikhoto Kulnu, aged 38, S/o Lt. Sagar, of Jakhama Village, who serve as a Warden at a Private Hostel located in Chiephobozou town.
Stating that the incident is deeply disturbing and unacceptable, particularly given that the person involved was entrusted with the care, supervision and safety of students, the Union said no form of discipline can justify physically assaulting or harming a child.
The CSU opposed all forms of physical abuse, violence and intimidation against students and said such actions are unacceptable and must not be taken lightly or normalized under the guise of discipline.
The Union urged the concerned authorities to take the matter seriously, conduct a proper, fair and impartial investigation, examine all relevant evidence and take appropriate legal and departmental action in accordance with the law.
