The Chumoukedima Town Council (CTC) in collaboration with the PHED Dimapur Urban Division, conducted Swachhata Pakhwada 2026 activities around the CTC MRF and FSTP site on September 26.

The programme included cleanliness drive, tree plantation and awareness activities on sanitation, waste management, environmental protection, and conservation of rivers and water bodies. Students and teachers from 10 schools and colleges of Chumoukedima, along with PHED, CTC, local communities and the Forest Department participated.

The programme was organised under the Public Awareness and Community Participation component of NRCP, promoting community ownership and environmental stewardship. The programme concluded with distribution of certificates to participants by T Lemlila Sangtam, NCS, ADC & Executive Officer, CTC.
