DC & DEO Tuensang reminds first time voters of great role in electing right candidate

In Tuensang the 15th National Voters’ Day was celebrated at DC’s Conference Hall on 25th January 2025 on the theme “Nothing like Voting, I Vote for Sure” Organised by the District Administration and District Election Officer in collaboration with Akashvani Kohima under BIND Scheme on the theme “India of my Dreams”.

Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, DC & DEO, Tuensang in her short speech thanked the Akashvani Kohima for Collaboration with District Administration and District Election Officer, Tuensang for making the programme a success. She stated that India is one of the largest Democratic Governments in the world where one has the Power to elect or reject the candidates during election. She also congratulated the first-time voters and encouraged them to take part in the Election Process where one has a great role to play to elect the right candidate and take part in the functioning of the Government. The Deputy Commissioner also thanked and appreciated the works done by the BLOs in their respective areas to keep the Electoral Roll clean.

Other highlights of the day were invocation by Thrimjangla, Youth Pastor, Yimkhiung Baptist Church, keynote address by Abino Lasuh, ADP and HoP Akashvani Kohima, special Number from Langa Voice and Mütten Hau Tuensang Village, Felicitation of first Time Voters and NVD Message by ECI, Administration of Pledge was led by Er. Moasanen Imlong, EAC Tuensang and Vote of thanks was delivered by R. Temsula Yimchunger, Programme Executive, Akashvani Kohima. The programme was chaired by Dr. Zujanbeni N Ngullei, EAC Tuensang. Earlier, Best BLO, Essay Competition and Extempore Speech Competition were awarded to the winners.
