DC Kohima issues removal order for traffic relief measures

The Deputy Commissioner of Kohima has issued an order to all concerned authorities, building owners and shop owners to remove any obstruction lying along the roadside for free movement of vehicles, traffic and pedestrians.

The removal should be completed within seven days.

“In pursuance to a letter Dated, Kohima, the 11th June, 2024 issued from the Urban Development Department and in view of the traffic status in and around Kohima Town, Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS has issued an order to all the concerned/building owners/shop owners, to remove construction materials/abandoned vehicles or any other materials/articles lying along the roadside causing hindrance for free movement of vehicles/traffic and pedestrians within 7 days from the date of issue of this Order after which all such materials will be removed/seized and fine will be imposed to violators as per relevant provision of law,” informed the order.
