DC Mon inaugurates DDM NABARD office at Mon

The office of the District Development Manager (DDM), NABARD was inaugurated at Mon on June 6 by Deputy Commissioner, Mon, Wennyei Konyak, in the presence of district officials, bankers, line department representatives, and development partners.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC highlighted the immense developmental potential of Mon district and emphasized the need for convergence of various government schemes and programmes to maximize their impact. He thanked NABARD’s Regional Office and Head Office for establishing the DDM Office in Mon and expressed confidence that the office would strengthen coordination between NABARD and district-level stakeholders, facilitating better implementation of developmental initiatives.

He further stressed the importance of concerted efforts among government departments, banks, and development agencies to ensure inclusive, sustainable, and holistic growth in the district.

Addressing the gathering, OP Mounglang, Deputy General Manager, NABARD reiterated NABARD’s commitment towards strengthening rural livelihoods, infrastructure development, and credit flow through close collaboration with stakeholders. He highlighted NABARD’s role as the apex development financial institution dedicated to promoting sustainable and inclusive rural development.

Earlier, welcoming the gathering, Abigail Rai, District Development Manager, Mon, NABARD, provided a brief overview of NABARD and its developmental interventions.

During the programme, Robert Zosangliana, Chief Manager, State Bank of India, Mon Branch, and Chemkai Konyak, Branch Manager, Nagaland State Cooperative Bank Ltd, addressed the gathering, which was followed by a representative from Eleutheros Christian Society (ECS), a partner agency of NABARD.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and interaction among stakeholders, reaffirming their collective commitment towards the development of Mon district.
