In pursuance of the directions of the Election Commission of India, the Deputy Commissioner Noklak, has issued a circular regarding Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 of Electoral Roll to be conducted w.r.t 01.10.2026 as the qualifying date. The DC & DEO directed the Booth level officers (BLOs) to visit each household under their concerned polling stations and distribute the Enumeration Forms with pre-printed details of existing electors from August 16 to September 14. Electors are to keep ready a current passport -size photographs to facilitate the verification of Enumeration Form by the BLOs.
ERO shall prepare and publish the draft Electoral Roll-on 20th September 2026 consisting of existing names of electors who have submitted their forms duly filled Enumeration period.
The period of Claim and Objection will be from September 20 to October20. While Notice Phase/Disposal of claims and Objection will be from September 20 to November 18, where Electoral with no linking or discrepancies in their linking with the Electoral Roll of the last Intensive Revision of 2005 etc may be required to appear before the ERO/AERO with the requisite documents prescribed by the Election Commission of India.

In this regard all Administrative Officers, Ward Authorities, Village Councils and Booth Level Agents are to extend their full cooperation to the Booth Level Officers during the verification exercise with vide publicity of the SIR programme and advise all residents to remain available during the house-to-house visit.
The Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Roll is to ensure that no eligible citizen is left out while no ineligible person is included in the Electoral Roll.
The Deputy Commissioner Noklak, urged all concerned to render all possible assistance to the Booth Level Officers for the successful conduct of the house-to-house verification under SIR 2026.
