The Deputy Commissioner, Peren Vineet Kumar, IAS has directed the Sub-Divisional, Power Department and Circle Administrative Officials to convene a consultative meeting with Village Council Members (VCM) within their respective jurisdiction along with Officials of Power Department to strategize man power mobilization for jungle clearing along all the transmission and distribution lines in the district. The directive has been issued following the decision made during the DPDB meeting held on June 14, 2024, and as requested by the Power Department.

The DC also stated that the month of May to October has been declared as vegetation clearance month by the Department of Power, Nagaland, and encouraged the Power Department Official to mobilize and arrange proper strategy for the clearance of jungle in time and properly clear the overhead power lines for safety.
