In compliance with an order of the Gauhati High Court dated June 3, 2026 in PIL No. 1/2024, Deputy Commissioner, Peren, Hiazu Meru, has issued a public notice inviting claims and objections from landowners affected along the NH-329A (Pimla Junction–Mhanamtsi stretch) in Peren district.

The notice aims to identify any existing land disputes within the Right of Way (RoW) of the highway and obtain formal undertakings from landowners waiving future claims over the affected land. The district administration stated that a compliance report would subsequently be submitted to the Gauhati High Court.

Accordingly, any person claiming ownership, rights, title, interest or raising objections regarding land falling within the NH-329A Right of Way has been directed to submit a written claim or objection to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Peren, within 20 days from the date of issuance and publication of the notice.

For further clarification, the public has been advised to contact the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Peren, during office hours.
