Deenbandhu Panda, District Education Officer Kiphire exhorted the students of Government Higher Secondary School Kiphire to give equal important to both academics and extra co-curricular activities as both are equally essential and beneficial for everyone. While academics sharpen and enlarge the mind, co-curricular activities refresh one’s intellectual and build proper physical growth, he said.

The DEO said this in his speech during the inaugural function of GHSS Kiphire Sports Week 2023 at Public Ground, Kiphire.
Panda also stated that education is all-round development of an individual’s body, mind and spirit therefore every aspect of education should be given primary importance if we want to experience the very meaning of true education.
The school’s sports week kicked off with an energetic March Pass by all the four houses – Green, Blue, Yellow and Red.
The games played today were track race, high jump, long jump, shot put etc.
one of the teacher-in-charge of the sports activities said, “More interesting games will be unfolded in coming days, we want to keep it as a little surprise for the students.”
The sports week will culminate on 3 August 2023.
