Dept. of Science & Technology conducts seminar on “Artificial Intelligence & Internet of Things”

The IHub & SEC, Department of Science & Technology in collaboration with IQAC Kohima Science College organised a Two Day Students’ Seminar on “Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things” for College, Hr. Secondary and High School students, at the Conference Hall, KSC Jotsoma from April 4 to 5, 2025.

Er. Kikrukhrielie Khezhie, Director Nagabots Tech Ventures pvt ltd was the resource person on the first day and Er. Vituonuo Valerie Suohu was the resource person on the second day of the seminar. The first day of the seminar and interactive session registered approximately 100 students from 15 Higher Secondary Schools & High Schools of Kohima District. The second day of the seminar and interactive session registered approximately 100 college students from 12 different Arts and Science departments of Kohima Science College.

The Seminar was chaired by Wilson, Education Assistant Ihub & SEC and Dr. Sedevikho Chase, Asstt. Professor KSC warmly welcomed the dignitaries and the participants in his welcome address. The Background note was delivered by Er. Onongoto Soleho, Chief Mentor Ihub & SEC, DST Nagaland. The seminar concluded with vote of thanks by T Wilson.

The Seminar was conducted with the aim to 1) Assess the ground reality of the Technology (AI & IoT) receptiveness and preparedness of among the student community in the context of Nagaland. 2) Create awareness about the applications of AI & IoT around the world. 3) Explore the relevant opportunities, challenges, limitations and potential applications of AI & IoT in Nagaland.
