DHEW Tuensang celebrates Children’s Day at Bethel Children Home

Tuensang: Children made aware of good touch and bad touch

On the eve of Children’s Day 2024, the District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Tuensang organised an awareness programme at the Bethel Children Home, Tuensang on “Feelings and Friendships: Safe Touches and Good Manners”.

Speaking at the event, Songmao M, District Mission Coordinator, DHEW, expressed her appreciation to the Bethel children home for such their performances and commended their talents. She encouraged the children to be focused in their studies and make a bright future, she said that as she had visited many children home but Bethel children home is one of the best in every activity. Songmao also urged the children to be faithful so that one day they will be able to become someone great.

Speaking on the theme, Kamjila differentiated between the good touch and the bad touch. She also advised the children on whom to approach if they experience bad touch.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by Mansa, MTS, while the welcome note was delivered from R. Throngji, superintendent of Bethel Children Home. The Children also performed on the occasion.
