The 5th Nationwide Digital Life Certificate Campaign for state, central and other government pensioners and family pensioners was launched at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Chümoukedima, on November 3, in the presence of ADC, T Lemlila Sangtam, NCS, and SDO (Civil) Chumbenthung Murry, NCS.

The campaign will continue until November 30 and will be conducted on all working days from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the DC’s Office. Pensioners under Chümoukedima district have been urged to participate and avail themselves of the Jeevan Pramaan–Digital Life Certificate (DLC) facility.

Pensioners have been requested to bring their Aadhaar card, Pension Payment Order (PPO) book, pension-receiving bank details and smartphones to complete the verification process.

To facilitate the campaign, help desks have been set up by the Treasury Office, Aadhaar Office and concerned banks to assist pensioners, including with Aadhaar-related corrections and updation. Free medical services are also being provided by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Chümoukedima.

Meanwhile, the Senior Treasury Office, Chümoukedima, has urged all state, central and other government pensioners drawing their pensions under its jurisdiction to adopt the Jeevan Pramaan digital platform following its formal onboarding by the Government of Nagaland.

The initiative aims to improve ease of living for pensioners by eliminating the need for physical appearance at the Treasury Office for annual life certificate verification. Pensioners who successfully generate and map their Digital Life Certificate through the portal will be exempted from physical verification.

Special provisions have also been made for senior citizens above 80 years of age and those facing severe health constraints, who may submit their verification through an authorised representative, subject to valid supporting documents approved by the Treasury Office.
