The two days 75th Platinum Jubilee celebration of Lakhuti Students’ Union (Lk.S.U) culminated on December 29 at Lakhuti village ground.
Themed “Together into the future”, Elias T. Lotha, Transport Commissioner, Motor Vehicles Department, Government of Nagaland graced the function as the special guest during the first session of the programme. Meanwhile, Albert Ngullie, Director, Department of Land Resource graced the occasion during the second session.
The celebration marked with the unveiling of monolith by the special guest Elias T. Lotha and a dedicatory prayer by Rev. Fr. Peter Pithungo, Parish Priest, St. Paul’s Church, Pungro.
Special Guest Elias T. Lotha spoke on the teachings of St. Francis de Sales, stating on the imperative of living one’s love and radiating infinite love during our time on Earth. The special guest urged on the continuous teaching of God’s love, encouraging to seize the opportunity to share it to the people especially in times of need. He also reminded that inorder to be true bearers of knowledge, one must absorb the right information and cultivate a robust reading habit, dedicating at least one hour daily.

Lirhonthung E Kithan, President, Lotha students’ Union expressed heartfelt gratitude to all members of Lakhuti Village and acknowledged their relentless effort and steadfast support towards the LKSU fraternity. He also acknowledged the hard work, patience, and dedication of the LKSU, while stating that Lakhuti Students union clearly stands as a pioneering force among the federating Lotha students’ unions. The consistent support of officers as a testament to Lakhuti village’s route toward glory, was also acknowledged.
In the second session, Special Guest Albert Ngullie spoke on the use of technology. He said the world has become a global village, a world encapsulated with Digital technology that has become an integral part of this world. “Digital literacy is becoming as essential as traditional literacy around the world,” said Ngullie. He also emphasised on the advantaged and disadvantaged use of the digital accessibilities and its harmful consequences.
