Digital Marketing Training held in Kohima

A Digital marketing training was held at Hotel Vivor Kohima on November 14. Organised by the Modern Myriad Branding, the training was held under the theme “Digital Marketing:Then and Now”.

Toinali Chophi, the founder of Beautybarn, shared her entrepreneurial journey. She described how the business started as an online venture from her home, and expanded to include physical stores and a dedicated website. Chophi stressed on the importance of choosing the right advertising channel, using Instagram as an example of her successful approach to social media marketing.

Speaking on the essence of understanding the business or brand one intends to build, Chophi encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs to consider their motivations for starting a business, their passion for it, and their plans for running it. Additionally, she highlighted the significance of passion in business, the need to identify a specific market, and the importance of developing customer personas to build a targeted audience.

A panel discussion hosted by Ransom Lungleng was held with Namang Chang, Co-founder of Modern Myriad Branding.

Lezo Putsure, CEO of EduCentre School of Business underlined the importance of staying focused to succeed in business, highlighting the key role of personal branding, self-care, and building meaningful connections beyond just making sales. He also urged for more innovation in entrepreneurship.

Theyiesinuo Keditsu, Poet and Academician emphasized on the significance of conducting business on social media, stressing the importance of defining the target audience, controlling content, handling feedback effectively, and presenting products honestly. She encouraged building lasting relationships, promoting products, and focusing on original, long-term business ideas over imitation.

Meanwhile, Toinali Chophi highlighted the need to differentiate personal and business content while emphasizing the importance of creating messages that effectively reach customers. She also stressed the significance of maintaining a strong social media presence in marketing, fostering a competitive spirit, and acknowledging the value of networking and skill development. Namang T. Chang also pointed out the tendency to blur the lines between sales and marketing and emphasized the necessity of strategic market planning.

The main takeaway from the discussion was the significance of product quality and networking in building a successful business.

Following the discussion, a digital marketing training session was held. Previously, Er. Keneirienuo Theünuo, Deputy Director of Industries and Commerce and Team Leader of Start Up Nagaland, delivered the welcome address.
