Lok Sabha MP Tokheho Yepthomi, on Monday exhorted the officers in Niuland district to adapt with change of time and challenges in his address at the District Development Co- ordination and monitoring committee (DISHA) meeting that was held at DC’s Conference Hall, Niuland on 3 April 2023.

MP & Chairperson, DISHA said the committee was set up to monitor the efficient and time bound development of centrally sponsored schemes all over the State.

The Department of Food & Civil Supplies, Social Welfare, Agriculture, Horticulture, Medical, Education R&B, PHED, RD And Land Resources gave detailed presentation of central schemes implementation from the year 2018- 2022. The committee members also deliberated on various schemes and implementation in the district.

Yepthomi, also encouraged the departments to co-ordinate and identify the villages and beneficiaries for effective implementation of the schemes and instructed the officers to sensitize the public so that the development reaches at the grass root level. The MP also said co-ordination meeting will be held quarterly and to submit detailed reports of schemes implemented in the district.
