Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Nehjamang Simte, visited Zangkham Village in Tizit sub-division on Wednesday, DIPR informed. The primary objective of this visit was to facilitate the saturation of Model Blocks and villages (SAMBHAV).
SAMBHAV is an innovative program designed to empower the most disadvantaged communities to realize their full potential. It aims to make these communities self-reliant by granting them equal access to fundamental services and opportunities. SAMBHAV serves as a pilot program, with a focus on achieving the saturation of 15 key services across 75 Gram Panchayats/Villages in 40 districts within the North Eastern region.
DIPR also stated that during the visit, DoNER Deputy Secretary Nehjamang Simte conducted an interactive public meeting, which was attended by various stakeholders, including community members and local authorities. This forum provided an opportunity for open discussions on the impact and effectiveness of both central and state government schemes in the village. Simte inquired about the extent to which these programs have benefited the local community.
The DoNER visit was carried out in collaboration with officials from relevant line departments, with the leadership of SDC (c) Tizit, Tumben P Tsanglao, and the accompaniment of State Coordinator from the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd., Nribemo Lotha.
