The monthly meeting of the Kiphire District Planning & Development Board, Kiphire was convened on August 12 at the DC’s Conference Hall, Kiphire under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer, NCS. The meeting commenced with welcoming of new DPDB members by the Chairman, followed by confirmation of the minutes of the previous meeting.
Deliberating on the Proposal for Development and Improvement of Drainage Infrastructure within the district, the concerned line department such as the PWD (R & B), National Highway and Urban Development have been directed to take note for necessary action plans. The proposal for registration of Azikhe Amulung Society, Kiphire Town was approved and recommended to the concern department for final approval.
The board members had a length deliberation on TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan – National TB Free India Campaign. In this regard, EAC Takatemjen said that the notification, circular and order have been issued to all concerned in the past few weeks, and he requested all concerned to carry out their respective task and submit the action taken report at the earliest.
While on Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026, EAC, Takatemjen informed all area administrative officers / heads of offices and all concerned to observe the campaign as directed by the Government and submit the action taken report mentioning the numbers of flag used.

The EAC also reminded the heads of offices for constitute a committee for Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) in the work places. He informed that so far only 15 department have set up a POSH Committee in the district. In this regard DC Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer also reminded the heads of offices that setting up of committee is a directive of the supreme court and urged the members to ensure compliance at the earliest.
SP Kiphire, Chinese apprised all concerned department to remain cautious and strengthen Security measure during the Independence Day celebration in the district.
Earlier, DC appealed all heads of offices to coordinate with the area administrative officers while executing their respective duties. ADC Seyochung, Chumlamo Humtsoe appraised the grievances over poor BSNL call facilities and network connectivity in Seyochung. The board members deliberated and requested the concerned department to take immediate steps to improve the services.
