MLA Dr. Sukhato A Sema, Leader of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Legislative Party in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, recently called on Chirag Paswan, the National President of LJP-Ram Vilas, to congratulate him on his appointment as the Union Cabinet Minister of Food Processing Industries in the newly formed Modi-led NDA Government.

During the meeting, Dr. Sukhato expressed his best wishes to Minister Paswan and discussed the potential benefits his ministry could bring to Nagaland, particularly in terms of youth employment. Chirag Paswan assured his full cooperation and support to enhance job opportunities in the state through various initiatives under his ministry.

Dr. Sukhato, who is also a Member of the Political Affairs Committee (PAC), requested Paswan to address the Naga political issue in Parliament, emphasizing the need for an early settlement of the peace process, a cause that his late father, Ram Vilas Paswan, was also concerned about.

Additionally, Dr. Sukhato extended an invitation to Chirag Paswan to visit Nagaland, to which the newly appointed Cabinet Minister responded positively, assuring that he would visit the state very soon. This visit is anticipated to strengthen ties and foster collaboration between the state and the central government, particularly in the area of food processing and employment generation.
