Host Tuensang has booked its place in the final of the 23rd Dr T Ao Inter District Football Championship 2024 after beating Niuland in the first semi-final today at the Loyem Memorial Astro Turf Ground, Tuensang.

The Tuensang District Football Association won the match 2-1.

Ayenmongba (No.7) scored the first goal in the 8th minute, giving the home team an early lead. A little later, Besang (No.11) scored another goal for Tuensang in the 22nd minute. Toka (No.10) provided some hope for Niuland when he scored in the 44th minute. Neither of the teams could add goals in the second half.

Despite the rain, supporters turned out in large numbers to witness the game and cheer for the teams, especially the home team.

The second Semi-Final match will be between Peren and Mon played on 26th September (Thursday) at 2:00 pm.
