The District Water & Sanitation Mission (DWSM) meeting was held at DC’s Office, Shamator with Deputy Commissioner as Chairman (DWSM), Shamator, Arikumba, NCS. The DC welcome all the members to the meeting.

Er Imnaingsang Longchar, SDO PHED who is also the Secretary of the DWSM, highlighted on the works of JJM and SBM (G) activities in Shamator district. He also requested all the line- department to share data related to the works on water and sanitation of the district, so as to harmonised the data on the ministry’s website.

The meeting also discussed on improving the capacity of village water supply to make awareness of the importance of operation and maintenance (O.M) for sustaining village water supply improving the hygiene of Anganwadi centres and schools by constructing child friendly toilets and water station facilities by various admissible government fund available, so that the district will have conjunctive use of water to have long term water security.
