The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has notified that heavy rainfall is expected in the Northeast States in the coming days till 5th October.

The IMD has said that isolated heavy rainfall is very likely over all states of the Northeast from 1st October to 5th October 2024. Further, it said that fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall expected over Assam and Meghalaya during the week while scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall very likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during next 3 days.

The Weather forecast also shows that fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall may be expected during the next subsequent 4 days over the same region.

Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during 02nd – 04th October, the IMD said.
