Kisan Mela was organised by the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) with Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, as the special guest at Town Hall, Tuensang on August 16, 2024, informed DIPR.
Speaking at the Mela, DC, Tuensang congratulated the Agri and Allied department for coming up with a booklet which will be very useful for everyone. Thanking the Farmers for their valuable contribution in the field of Agriculture, the DC said everyone is dependent on agri products for survival.
She also asserted that the district produces massive varieties of organic fruits and vegetables, and she encouraged the farmers to learn from the workshop provided by the ATMA and make use of it for better and healthy harvest.

The ATMA Booklet “Indigenous Traditional Knowledge” was also released by the DC during the program. Farmer – Scientist interaction, Demonstration and Exhibitions were the highlights of the day.
The programme was chaired by Odilemla ATMA, Longkhim Block while the welcome address was delivered by W. Shoyan Konyak, Project Director ATMA and DSCO, Tuensang. The keynote address was proposed by Dr. Toshimenla Deputy Project Director, ATMA, while the DAO, Tuensang, Supongmar Longchar also gave a short speech.
The programme culminated with a vote of thanks by Suponglemla Chang, BTM Noksen Block.
