Fire and Emergency Mock Drill conducted at MGM College Dimapur

The Disaster Management Committee of MGM College, Dimapur, in collaboration with the Dimapur Fire Station West, Nagaland Fire and Emergency Service, Government of Nagaland, organized a mock drill on fire and emergency preparedness for the students on 23rd August 2024 at the college campus.

The College informed through a press release that the event was led by M. Martin, 2nd Officer-in-Charge, along with five of his colleagues who conducted a detailed demonstration, showcasing the proper use of various types of fire extinguishers and executing a rescue operation.

The event was designed to enhance the students’ understanding and preparedness in the event of fire-related emergencies, it added.

Earlier, the program commenced with a welcome address by Fr. Giju George, Administrator of MGM College. This was followed by a brief awareness session on fire safety and hazards, presented by M. Martin, 2nd Officer-in-Charge, Dimapur Fire Station West.
