Fire razes down three rental homes at Officers’ Hill, Kohima

In a devastating fire incident, on April 2 , three adjoining rental houses were gutted down around 12 noon at Officers Hill Kohima .

The fire, suspected to have started from a kitchen, spread across the adjoining house where important documents and some cash were also burnt down to ashes, according to sources. Five LPG cylinders exploded during the inferno.

The timely intervention of fire tenders and the assistance of residents from the colony helped doused the fire preventing it from spreading further. No casualties has been reported so far.

According to Kelesezo Tsükrü, OC Fire Station, two fire brigades reached the venue on time and doused off the fire. The cause of the fire could still not be ascertained, mentioned Tsükrü who added that altogether there were six members residing in the rental house.
