First phase of training for enumerators and supervisors for Census 2027 begins at Chumoukedima, Kiphire and Tuensang

The first phase of training for enumerators and supervisors for the upcoming Census 2027 commenced on June 10 at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Chumoukedima, which brought together around 150 participants from across all subdivision under Chumoukedima district, who will be engaged in the census house-listing and related enumeration activities.

The programme aims to equip field personnel with the necessary knowledge and skills for accurate and efficient data collection during the census exercise.

During the training, participants were oriented on census concepts, house-listing procedures, data collection methodologies, field protocols, and the use of prescribed census schedules. Resource persons highlighted the importance of maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to census guidelines while carrying out field operations.

Officials emphasized that Census 2027 is a vital national exercise that provides essential demographic, social, and economic data for planning and policy formulation. Enumerators and supervisors were encouraged to carry out their responsibilities with dedication and professionalism to ensure the successful conduct of the census.

The training programme will continue in phases to cover all designated census personnel across the district in preparation for the forthcoming Census 2027 operations.

Kiphire:

The 1st Phase training of Supervisors and Enumerators for Census operation 2027 for Kiphire District commenced at DPDB Conference Hall, Kiphire from June 10 and will continue till June 12.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Longdiba L Sangtam, gave an introductory speech on the value and importance of Census. He urged all the Enumerators and Supervisors to be sincere in their respective duties. Meanwhile charge officers of Kiphire, Longmatra and Amahator blocks also addressed the participants about the relevant aspects of the training.

Hotingkiu, Daniel Sechopi, Akuto and Asemong were the Field Trainers in the training.

Tuensang:

Census Enumerators Training for Ngoungchung Circle and Sangsangyu Circle was held on June 10 at DC’s Conference Hall, Tuensang.

Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, in her keynote address highlighted the importance of Census Opretion 2027 conducted across all over India. She exhorts the Enumerators and Supervisors to work sincerely and with dedication despite of various challenges and issues faced during the Collection of Database.

The census operation training will continue till 8 batch for Tuensang District with 347 Enumerators and Supervisors from the District.
