The Alempang Unit, 24 Angetyongpang A/C, NDPP  the inaugurated a fitness centre at Alempang Ward, Mokokchung, on April 22. Inaugurated by the Ward Chairman Lemasashi Ozukum, the event marked a significant milestone in the community’s journey towards improved health and wellness.

According to a press release issued by the Angetyongpang A/C, NDPP, Alempang Unit, the Alempang Fitness Centre is a vital component of the iconic project, spearheaded by  Tongpang Ozukum, Advisor, Department of Water Resources, Government of Nagaland, and MLA of the 24 Angetyongpang Assembly Constituency.

“Under his visionary leadership, initiatives like these aim to enhance the well-being of the people and promote active lifestyles. Designed for the consumption of The residents of Alempang Ward, the fitness centre’s ownership will be transferred to the Alempang Youth Association,” informed the press release.

The transition is to ensure efficient management and proper utilisation of the facility. As part of the inauguration program, the President of the NDPP, Alempang Unit, 24 Angetyongpang NC, Neken Mollier, presented the keys of the Alempang Fitness Centre to the President of the Alempang Youth Association.

This symbolic gesture, according to the Unit, underscores the collaborative effort between the government, political organizations, and local community groups in realizing this significant endeavour.
