Free Multi-Speciality health camp held at Tizit

As part of efforts to bridge critical gaps in urban healthcare services, a Free Multi-Speciality Health Camp was held at PHC Tizit, Mon on May 8, in accordance with the recommendations of the 15th Finance Commission Health Grants. The programme was organised by the Tizit Town Council in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer, Mon, officials and staff of PHC Tizit, and other stakeholders.

ADC & Administrator of Tizit Town Council, C. Phuniang, in his brief address mentioned that efforts would be made to organise the health camp as a monthly exercise, especially during the peak monsoon season in Tizit town for which he appealed to all stakeholders for their continued support and cooperation.

A variety of specialist OPD services, including Medicine, Paediatrics consultation, Gynaecology, Dental care, Ultrasound, and other healthcare services, were provided during the polyclinic health camp. In addition, PMJAY/CMHIS enrolment, blood testing, and health awareness counselling services were also extended to the beneficiaries.

The programme commenced with an invocatory prayer offered by Rev. Wennyie Konyak, Pastor, Tizit Town Baptist Church. Around 350 beneficiaries from in and around Tizit Town availed the services during the camp.

The medical team was led by Dr. Wungyoung, DIO Mon, comprised six Junior Specialists, two Medical Officers, a Sonologist, a Dental Surgeon, and a pharmacist.
