The Oriental College organised its 8th Fiesta cum Advent Christmas 2024 with the theme “Fun with Financial Literacy”. Organised to focus on Fun and feast, to provide a blissful atmosphere to the students after a long academic year, the programme also focused on financial literacy. The programme was addressed by Dr. Khriereizhünuo Dzüvichü, Principal Oriental College Kohima.
The resource persons were T. Zou , Manager RBI and Lamgunhoi Grace Khongsai, Assistant RBI.
Zou in his speech mentioned that the theme of RBI is to impart knowledge to young adults who would be taking up employment in the near future to enable them to be informed about financial literacy. He also mentioned the financial literacy rate in Nagaland is 8 percent, which is below national level therefore imparting financial literacy in Nagaland is a must to impart.

Lamgunhoi in her speech demonstrated on how to identify real and fake notes. She further imparted the importance of linking ones adhaar number and phone number to our bank accounts which can instantly help in starting any investments. Langunhoi also spoke on how costumers can approach any bank to exchange worn out notes and it is mandatory for any bank to accept and exchage worn out notes.
