MLA and Advisor for CAWD, Nagaland, Kudecho Khamo, on Saturday inaugurated the Futsal Court at Chetheba under Phek district, a project constructed under the MLA LADP Iconic Project.
Addressing the inaugural programme, Khamo appreciated the landowners for paving the way for development through the construction of the futsal court in the town.
He stated that LADP is meant for the development of the constituency, while adding that being in the ruling government is the mandate of the people to work for the aspirations and interests of the community. He said the privilege was accorded to him through the blessings of God and the people. He also shared his resolve to stand and work for the people.
He acknowledged the leadership of the area for remaining steadfast in the interest of the people.
If there is no development, there can never be progress, said Khamo, and called for the collective resolve of the people for all-round development.
In this regard, he urged the people to think, work, sacrifice land and pray for development so that the area can be at par with the rest of the world.
He also called upon the people of the constituency to work and walk in tandem with the aspirations of the government for development.
Khamo called for integrity, honesty and care for government and public property as a collective effort to protect and make judicious use of it for maximum benefit.

Highlighting the presence of banking facilities in Chetheba Town, he called upon the people to build good relations with the banks to gain their trust and venture into entrepreneurship and business as viable livelihoods.
He opined that the people need to be aware of government schemes from both the state and central governments to reap the benefits and assured them of his support.
Stating that Chetheba has a strategic location, he said development plans are being strategised to promote development and push for the progress of Chetheba and its surrounding areas.
Sports has become one of the highest-paying industries, while sports also unifies people and fosters peace. As such, he asserted the need to promote sports to engage the youth in productive activities, steer them away from social evils, keep them healthy, and create livelihood opportunities.
Meanwhile, Setsoyi Keyho, Chairman of the Chetheba Town Welfare Council, acknowledged the MLA and Advisor for fulfilling the long-felt desire of the people by constructing the futsal turf at Chetheba Town. He also appreciated him for other developmental initiatives such as the upgradation of the EAC Office building, construction of the Working Women Hostel, and others for the welfare and interest of the people in the area and the constituency.
The programme was led by Vekedu Resu. A dedicatory prayer was offered by Thepuzhoyi Theyo, Pastor of Thenyizu Baptist Church, while Vetazo Khesoh, Pastor of CRC Chetheba Town, offered the closing prayer.
The event was attended by Nengpichong Singsit, EAC Chetheba, public leaders from Chetheba and surrounding areas, along with football enthusiasts.
