General Observer P Ramesh, IAS and Police Observer Sukesh Kumar Jain, IPS reviewed the poll preparedness in Kohima district on Wednesday along with Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS, Superintendent of Police, Kohima, Bharat Laxman Markad, IPS and Nodal Officers of various election related teams of Kohima at DC’s Conference Hall, Kohima.

According to DIPR, following the review, the Observers lauded the preparedness of election team. However, they also cautioned the officers not to be complacent in any manner, but ensure conduct of free, fair and peaceful elections as per the directives of the Election Commission of India.

Hands on training on EVM/VVPAT was also imparted to both the Observers by the District Level Master Trainers (DLMT).
