Goodwill School hosted its 1st Annual Day Programme under the inspiring theme “Education Illuminates Life” on November 16. The event was chaired by Apham, who welcomed attendees and set a celebratory tone for the day.
The programme commenced with an invocation by Echi and a special number was performed by the dedicated teachers, showcasing their talent and commitment to the school community.
Students took the stage with a series of vibrant performances. The celebration began with a delightful duet sung by Esther and Anitet from the UKG class. The LKG students entertained the audience with an energetic action song, followed by a lively Bollywood dance by the boys of classes 1 and 2. Ngipon from Class 2 then graced the stage with an elegant solo dance, further showcasing the diverse talents of the school’s students.
Phamlong and friends delivered a female vocal performance, while Angshang and friends presented a special choreography. Girls from classes 1 and 2 showcased a K-pop dance which was followed by another group dance by class 1 followed, the event culminating with a couple show.
The proprietor, Kaiba W, took the stage to deliver an exhortation, expressing gratitude to the parents, students, and teachers for their valuable contributions and support. He announced that the school had received approval from the Directorate of School Education, Kohima, on 1st November 2024, and revealed that Goodwill School would be upgrading to Class 4 for the upcoming academic year, 2025.

In a brief speech, Kingchai Konyak, the director, reminded students that the final examinations were approaching, scheduled to begin on 18th November 2024. He encouraged students to view the examination process positively, emphasizing the importance of a joyful approach to studying, rather than succumbing to stress.
Monyu W delivered the vote of thanks, graciously acknowledging the tireless efforts of teachers and non-teaching staff who guided the students in their preparations for the event. She also expressed gratitude to the parents for their unwavering support and thanked all participants for their enthusiastic performances that made the day a resounding success.
