Governor La Ganesan extends greetings on eve of Republic Day

Extending warm greetings to all countrymen on the eve of the 75th Republic Day, Governor of Nagaland La Ganesan paid tributes to the founding fathers and the countless men and women who sacrifices and struggles to free the nation from the colonisers. He said that their vision, courage, and determination have laid the foundation for the prosperous and resilient democracy that we are privileged to be a part of today.

Let us pay homage and re-dedicate ourselves to upholding the ideals of justice, liberty, and equality that they valiantly fought to secure for us, Governor La Ganesan said.

He highlighted that in the last 75 years, India has established a “robust democratic system” that has helped it make remarkable strides in various fields. “Despite being a diverse nation with multiple languages, cultures, and religions, India has maintained a functioning democratic system”, he maintained.

The Governor said that Nagaland too has made significant progress and overcome numerous challenges since the attaining statehood, however, he stressed that the State must address all shortcomings so that it does not miss the bus of development.

“On this auspicious occasion, I give a clarion call to all my fellow citizens to work towards achieving our goal of a Vikshit Bharat 2047,” Governor La Ganesan stated. He also urged all to march together with integrity, determination and in unity in order to ensure a happy and prosperous future for all citizens.
