Governor visits Good Samaritan Senior Citizen’s Home

Governor of Nagaland, Nand Kishore Yadav paid a visit to the Good Samaritan Senior Citizen’s Home at Meriema, Kohima, on August 12.

During the visit, the Governor spent time with the senior citizens residing at the home. The visit reflected his concern for the welfare and dignity of senior citizens and the importance of providing care, companionship and a supportive environment for the elderly. He also contributed essential provisions to the Home as a gesture of care and support towards the welfare and well-being of the residents.

Neithonuo Liegise, Chairperson, Good Samaritan Women Society, shared the brief history of the project and also presented the future vision and plans for the Old Age Home to the Governor. The Governor acknowledged and took note of the vision and aspirations of the Society for further development of the home.

The visit was marked by a warm and meaningful interaction between the Hon’ble Governor and the residents of the home.

Earlier, welcome address was delivered by Juliana, Executive Member of the Good Samaritan Women Society, followed by an invocation by Kuolachalie Seyie, President, Naga Club. The senior citizens of the home presented a special number during the programme.
