The recent Municipal Council Elections held on 26th June, 2024 in Mokokchung district witnessed a significant voter participation across various towns.
The Mokokchung Municipal Council elections recorded an impressive 83.67% turnout, with 15,895 voters out of 18,997 total electors voting across 13 wards.

In Tuli Town, 82.60% of voters turned out to cast their ballots across 3 wards. Mangkolemba Town reported an even higher turnout with 95.48%, amounting to 2,431 voters among 2546 total electors participating across 8 wards. Changtongya Town saw a voter turnout of 67.7%, with 3,331 voters out of 4,920 total electors casting their votes in 9 wards.
