Induction programme of Bharat Scouts & Guides Association Dimapur held

An induction programme of the Bharat Scouts & Guides Association, Dimapur was held at the District Education Office, Nagarajan, Dimapur on May 21. The programme was chaired by Rokovi I. Phira of Highland Hall Unit, while the invocation prayer was led by Viheli Kiba, ADOC (G).

During the programme, Y Mughao Zhimo, DEO, was inducted as District Chief Commissioner, while Kitoshi Z. Swu, Sr SDEO, was inducted as District Secretary. The induction ceremony was conducted by Bharat Scouts & Guides officials, where Viheli Kiba, ADOC (G), inducted Kitoshi Z Swu and Hokali Sema, while Aotoshi, ADOC (S), inducted Y Mughao Zhimo.

Delivering the welcome note and highlighting the activities and importance of the Bharat Scouts & Guides movement, V.K. Shah, State Commissioner (Scouts) and Principal of Vidhya Bhawan Higher Secondary School, encouraged the newly inducted officials to work sincerely for the welfare and development of young scouts and guides in the district.

Y Mughao Zhimo, District Chief Commissioner, in his speech said that it was a great honour and privilege for him to be inducted into the Bharat Scouts & Guides Association. He stated that the movement was not just an organization but a mission that builds character, discipline, leadership, service and patriotism among young people.

He assured his commitment to strengthening the movement in the district and called upon schools and communities to extend their support so that more boys and girls could benefit from scouting and guiding activities.

Kitoshi Z Swu, District Secretary, in her speech expressed gratitude for the trust and confidence placed in her. She said that the movement teaches discipline, leadership, service, teamwork and love for the nation, while stressing the need to nurture responsible citizens with strong character and compassion. She also assured her full support and commitment towards strengthening scouting activities and promoting the spirit of service in schools.

In her speech, Hokali Sema expressed gratitude for the trust placed in her as she assumed charge as District Organizing Commissioner (Guide). She said her focus would be on reaching every girl, especially in government schools without Guide Companies, and supporting Guiders in overcoming challenges.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Aotoshi, ADOC (S).
