The Department of Assistant Registrer Of cooperative Society(ARCS), Kiphire organized the launching program of Pongren village Integrated Multi Purpose cooperative society Ltd. At(Khorko) Pongren village in the presence of Yithachu Thur, EAC, Pungro, HoD’s of Agri-Allied departments Kiphire and society members.
Speaking at the launching program, Yithachu Thur, EAC express gratitude to the ARCS department for inviting him to the launching program of Pongren village integrated cooperative society.
Appreciating the hardworking and industrious nature of Pongren village in farming, Thur mentioned that various products from Pongren village are available in market at affordable price which is essential for economic growth and expansion of town.
The Administrator expressed hope that the Pongren Village integrated cooperative society will be a model society that will inspire others to emulate them. While there are hundreds of societies across Nagaland but seldom has succeeded, Thur exuded confidence that this society will succeed because of the hardworking nature of the people.

“Aims and visions that emanates from the grassroot always succeed because it is born out of unity stating that big things begin with small and humble beginning,” stated Thur.
Stressing on the importance of rural economy he appealed HoD’s from Agri-Allied departments to extend all possible help and assistance towards the cooperative society so that these society becomes a model society and make it a success story.
Providing a brief highlight about the society Tsolemong, Chairman, Pongren Village IMPCS Ltd. Informed that initially the society started with 12 members which has now grown to 63 members under the guidance and help from ARCS, Kiphire.
The formation of the society has been made possible because of the ceaseless help and assistance from ARCS, Kiphire, added Tsolemong.
He requested the Agri-Allied departments to extend any help and assistance as the society cannot progress without their help and cooperation.
Short speeches were also delivered by various Agri-Allied departments and assured to extend help towards the society. The vote of thanks was delivered by Shakumong, Secretary, PVIMPCS and invocation by Muralin.
