The Monthly District planning and development board meeting clubbed with the celebration of ‘Advent Christmas ‘ was held on 7th of December at Zinki Quarry road, Kiphire, hosted by Tutheze Village.

Initially, the Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer shared Advent Christmas greetings to the gathering. He thanked Tutheze Village for giving their time, space and hosting the grand programme. The DC also wishes the three retiring officers of the district namely, Akok Toshi, Project Director DRDA, Panda, DEO education and Tanzil, DIO NIC, a very happy retired lives. Temsuwati also reminded all the departmental heads to be well prepared and ready with their developmental activities, projects to be rreported during the visit of the Union Finance Minister in the district.

The out going officers also delivered their farewell speeches at the meeting. Later, the out going officers were felicitated with gifts from the DPDB.

Three new DPDB members, Zavito EAC Kiphire, Senti Wabang, SDPO and Khruosutho, Commandant 14th NAP (IR) Battalion, Kiphire were introduced to the board.

During the Advent Christmas program, Albert Jingru, Leochum Thonger, Lethe Khing and Daniel presented special songs and entertained the gathering. Talented board members led by the DC, Temsuwati and others also took part in the singing. Invocation prayer was pronounced by Lipichem Sangtam, DPO Land Resources.
