As the nation marks 78 years of Independence, Kiphire joins in to commemorate India’s freedom at the Public Ground in Kiphire on 15th August 2024.

The local administration has made great strides to ensure a grand event, with various departments setting up stalls to showcase their achievements and services.

The stalls will display a range of exhibits varying from agricultural products to handicrafts and government schemes to cultural artefacts from different government departments in the district. With the event at hand, rehearsals of patriotic performances are being witnessed from both students and local artists.

Additionally, police officials are conducting thorough inspections of the area to ensure better security arrangements in and around the premises, verifying the identity of workers, visitors and monitoring entry and exit points, amongst others.

The celebration promises to be a grand affair, with something for everyone to enjoy. The event will not only commemorate India’s freedom struggle but also showcase the town’s rich culture, talent, and spirit of patriotism.
