Kohima bids adieu to Lt. P. Talitemjen Ao, IAS

Lt. P.Talitemjen Ao, IAS was a man of few words who chose to lead by example and was a role model to young and old. He had served the government with utmost dignity and dedication as expressed by many in their eulogies

Kohima: The Homegoing service of Lt. P.Talitemjen Ao, IAS was held on 29th July 2022 at The Heritage, Officers’ Hill, Kohima. A host of dignitaries, government officials, representatives of various public organizations, and well-wishers gathered to pay their final respects to a man who had dedicated his whole life to the welfare of the people and had served the Government of Nagaland in various capacities even after his retirement.

 

Many in their eulogies for him expressed how he had been a role model for all, young and old, and how he had served the government with utmost integrity and dedication. His humble and caring nature and his unfaltering faith in God are what set him apart from the rest. A man of few words who chose to lead by example, his contributions to the State are unmatched and one notable achievement was how under his leadership as the first Chief Information Commissioner of the State, the Nagaland Information Commission was set up.

 

After the homegoing service the mortal remains of Lt. P.Talitemjen Ao, IAS, was taken to his native village Akhoya, Mokokchung where he will be laid to rest.
