Kohima Police informs on traffic regulations for Republic Day 2025

The Kohima Police has issued a press release notifying about the traffic regulations to be enforced in Kohima Town as part of the security arrangement on 26th January 2025 for the 76th Republic Day Celebration at Secretariat Plaza, Kohima.

The traffic rules to be enforced are as follows:

– Only vehicles with CAR PASS ‘Z’ (Red) and CAR PASS ‘Y’ (Purple) will be allowed entry to the Secretariat Plaza and shall be parked in the Northern part of the venue. Vehicles with CAR PASS ‘X’ (Green) will drop their respective officers at the Main Gate and shall be parked outside the Secretariat Complex.

– Vehicles without car passes will not be allowed to enter the Secretariat Complex and shall be parked along the Assembly Secretariat road.

– No vehicles including two wheelers will be allowed to park by the roadside on 26/01/2025 from 0600 hrs. onwards at the following routes till the programme is over.

(a). From Raj Bhavan – TCP Gate – Razhu Point – High School – New Secretariat Complex.

(b). New CM official Residence, Phezoucha to New Secretariat Complex.

– Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to ply in Kohima town till the programme is over. All loading and unloading of goods in Kohima town should be completed by 0600 hrs.

– While anticipating positive co-operation from the public, the Police will tow away the defaulting vehicles and the charges will be borne by the vehicle owners.
