Konyak Union (KU), the apex body of the Konyak Naga tribe, installed its new team of office bearers for the term 2025-28 on Friday during the body’s general session in Mon headquarters.

The new team will be led by K Yamao Konyak as president and Wango Konyak as the general secretary. Following the installation of the new team, the Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) extended its gratitude to the outgoing team of 2022-25 for their dedicated service and unwavering commitment to the community.

“Your time, efforts, and sacrifices have left a lasting impact, and your leadership has paved the way for continued growth and unity,” KSU said in a message.

The student body also congratulated the newly appointed Konyak Union office bearers (2025-28), appreciating their willingness to step forward and serve. It expressed confidence the new team’s dedication will carry the community to greater heights.
