MLA and chairman of the Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) Bhandari Achumbemo Kikon officially inaugurated a newly constructed rostrum at the Koro village playground under Bhandari sub-division today.
The rostrum, built under the Local Area Development Programme (LADP) for the year 2024–2025, is envisioned to serve not only the residents of Koro but also neighbouring villages during social gatherings, public events, and sporting occasions.
Addressing the gathering, Kikon highlighted the significance of such developmental initiatives, stating that the structure would enhance community engagement and foster unity through shared spaces for events and activities. He urged the villagers to recognise and appreciate the long-awaited development efforts in their area.
He further appealed to the local community to take collective responsibility for the upkeep of the new facility, reminding them that it should be preserved as valuable community property for future generations.
The event was attended by local leaders, community members, and officials from the Bhandari sub-division.
