Students’ Union inaugurated the first library under KSUK’s project “Education for All” on 26 August 2023 at Lampong Sheanghah, Mon.
Addressing the gathering I. Moala Aier, District Education Officer, Mon encouraged the students to make the best use of the library and also challenged the parents to teach their children to read more as today’s generation children are spending more time in mobile phones
and other gadgets, she said.

Aier also congratulated the Konyak Students’ Union Kohima on achieving its vision and Lampong Sheanghah Student’s Union for being the first village to start the Library under this project.
M Honli Konyak, President Konyak Students’ Union Kohima highlighted about the goals of the project and the vision the Union have in the future.
Konyak also spoke on the difficulties and challenges the Union faced while starting the project. She thanked Kohima College, Kohima and Don Bosco College, Kohima for donating books and all the well-wishers and donors for their prayers and help to the union both in cash and kind.
A total of 1000 books were donated by the Konyak Students’ Union Kohima to the library.
The Library was dedicated by Pastor Phuktong Baptist Church.
Invocation was done by Mariam, Associate Pastor Women while President, LSSU, Golang Kheman addressed the welcome note. Special number was presented by Manpai Konyak, short speeches were delivered by Konyak Students Union (Apex) and Shingwang, Angh, lampong Sheanghah.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Chingteih Wangnao, GS, LSSU and benediction by Matpai, Associate Pastor Youth, Lampong Sheanghah.
The programme was attended by various Students’ Union, Village councils and other dignitaries.
