The Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills, the apex body of the Kuki tribes, has advised Kuki citizens to exercise “heightened vigilance and caution” on 28th September 2024 citing that it has received “credible intelligence” suggesting that the Arambai Tenggol might be planning attacks on that day.

“This potential threat stems from baseless and inflammatory lies being spread by Meitei extremists, falsely claiming that 900 Kuki militants have reached our state and are preparing to launch an assault on the Meitei population,” the Kuki Inpi stated.

The organisation has also appealed to the Central security forces “to take extra measures to ensure the safety and security of the Kuki people during this period”.
