Konyak Union Mon Unit (KUMU) today issued a caution against any “demands made on any business establishment or commercial vehicle by any individual, groups or societies”. The Union has notified that the Mon Block Civil Societies will strictly deal with anybody found violating the guidelines.

This statement comes the day the Union called for bandh in the town. Konyak Union Mon Unit had asked all the shops, fuel pump, gas agency and commercial vehicles in Mon Town to shut down from 6am to 6pm on 9 September.

The bandh was observed in protest of extortion and harassment taking place in the business community.
