A legal sensitization on BNS,BNSS & BSA,NDPS Act, POCSO Act and NLTP Act cum Crime conference was conducted at SP office Phek on May 2 organised by DEF Phek in collaboration with District court Phek and Prosecution wing.

Hands on training on legal procedures was conducted on case studies for NDPS act, Murder case and others laws. A new investigation room was inaugurated at Phek Police station for legal aid, investigation and other legal programs.

District and Sessions Judge Mezivolu.T.Therieh, spoke on the significance of criminal justice delivery system. She applauded the timely services rendered by the police. She urged everyone to be updated with technology used in legal arenas.

CJM Holika Sukhalu gave power point presentation on new laws and special laws where she emphasized on procedures and proper documentation in all the cases.

Meanwhile, SP Phek Dr. Pritpal Kaur urged all the officers to be updated with new laws and its procedures. She advised for team work in investigation and to give  regular trainings on legal procedures. Additional PP Zheviholi, APP Samuel & APP Vetsuzo Tunyi addressed the questions and the issues faced by IOs during trial and investigation.

Approximately, 40 participants from SP office staff, ASP, SDPOs, PI court staff, all PS OCs and ICs attended the program.

Earlier the program was chaired by SDPO Phek Khuza Jurry and vote of thanks was given by Bendang, ASP Phek.
