The Langpangkong Students’ Conference (LKM) on Monday celebrated its 78th foundation day at Chuchuyimlang Town Hall, the organisations HQ, marking 78 years of dedicated service towards the welfare, unity and advancement of the student community and the people of Langpangkong.

LKM traces its foundation to June 22, 1948 when visionary leaders came together with the objective of promoting educational and social progress among the youth of the range.

The commemorative programme was graced by Marsanen Imsong, President of the Ao Senden as the guest of honor.

A highlight of the programme was the presentation of the Lt L Pangersowa Trust Award for Academic Excellency, instituted in the memory of one of LKMs founding pioneers, late L Pangersowa Jamir. The award recognises outstanding academic achievers from the Langpangkong range and seeks to inspire students to pursue excellence in their educational endeavours.
