Lok Sabha polls 2024: Congress candidate S S Jamir hopes voters will choose ‘secularism, justice, peace and equality’

Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee President S Supongmeren Jamir has urged the electorates of Nagaland to vote for secularism, justice, peace and equality. He exuded hope that the voters will choose their decision wisely.

Addressing the media at Congress Bhavan, Kohima today S Supongmeren Jamir, who is also the Congress candidate for the Lok Sabha Polls, informed that the All India Congress Committee (AICC) has directed NPCC to convey and deliver justice, peace and equality of the state.

Slamming the Modi led government, Jamir claimed that the sixty elected MLAs boats are overloaded due to the Modi government by allowing the state to form an opposition-less Government adding, that the formation of opposition less government has also put Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio in a very difficult situation.

“The BJP government has put the Indo Naga Political issue on hold with two agreements. With this Naga issue they are playing in a such a way that there should be an opposition-less less government,” said Jamir.

He also alleged that the BJP is implementing another tactic to further divide the Nagas by delaying solution to the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization issue. He viewed that the ongoing ‘Public Emergency’ is a message to the Government of India that the people have lost their confidence in them.

Jamir highlighted the repercussions of Citizenship Amendment Act and said that if BJP comes back to power, they will also implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) which will destroy the whole idea of secularism in the country.

Further, Jamir appealed to the electorates to give congress the opportunity to stand in the parliament and fight for people’s justice.
