Longleng Town Council (Urban) organized Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at DC’s office junction, Longleng on 15th January 2024, DIPR informed.
Special Guest of the event, Deputy Commissioner Longleng, Dharam Raj, IAS, briefed the gathering of the schemes and projects, and said the aim of this program was to make the country a developed and self-reliant nation by 2047. He also encouraged the people to avail the benefit.
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is a nationwide campaign to raise awareness through outreach activities to achieve saturation of schemes of Govt of India across the country covering all Gram Panchayats Nagar Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies with the objectives of:
1. Reaching the unreached-reach out to the vulnerable who are eligible under various schemes but have not availed benefit so far
2. Dissemination of information and generating awareness about schemes
3. Learning from the citizens Interaction with beneficiaries of government schemes through their personal stories/ experience sharing
4. Enrolment of potential beneficiaries through details ascertained during the Yatra
The campaign is being taken up by adopting a whole of government approach with active involvement of various Ministries/Departments of Government of India. State Governments Central Government organizations and institutions to ensure the widest possible participation of all concerned for the benefit of Citizens of the country and to realize the vision of Viksit Bharat.
Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat pledge was administrated by Tongpang. The day long program included, Movie (Screening) and played the Recording Message of the Prime Minister.
On spot service included Health Camp, PMJAY registration, Ujjwala new enrolment (PMUY) and PM SvaNidhi. Beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat PM SvaNidhi and SHG (DAY-NULM) shared their success story at the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra program.
SDO (C), & District Nodal Officer, VBSY Shri. Meyazungba Jamir, NCS, delivered the welcome address and MIS, Longleng Town Council, Isaac P. Pongshi Keikung, chaired the program.
