The Longsa Baptist Church Wokha organized a sales day on Tuesday morning at Public Ground, Wokha. The proceeds from the event will go in the funds for the LBC Platinum Jubilee Memorial Building.

Organisers said that the Sales Day was also aimed at promoting local products of the Longsa Village Area. Four truck loads of products from Longsa Village itself were sold out, having received a good response from the public

Varieties of organic vegetables and fruits like squash, yam, pumpkin, beans, chilli, cucumber, pineapple, banana, bamboo shoots, corn, etc along with handicraft items such as broomstick, machete, wooden spoons, carrying baskets, knitted bags, clay cups were made available to the shoppers. Local food cooked using traditional recipes were also sold.

The items were all sold out within an hour.

The Youth Director, Longsa Baptist Church informed that they were satisfied with the response of the people as well as with the result of the Sales Day.
